My roommate and I went here on a whim after reading a couple of reviews. The restaurant was a bit hard to find, but the food was genuinely excellent. I am usually not a huge fan of fusion food, but the chef is amazing at creating unique and delicious flavors. We tried the Cajun Chicken Cheesesteak, the Bourbon Chicken, and the Boudin Eggrolls. It all tasted amazing. We will definitely be going back the next time we are in the area. 10/10

I’ve been to Far East Bayou several times now and they never miss! For starters you have to get the boudin or the seafood egg rolls (the sauce that comes with them is top tier!) For entrees, my go-to is the sweet thai chili udon noodles with shrimp. Or for heat, the Szechuan version. If I'm not feeling noodles, the bourbon chicken the way to go. Or if you have a BIG appetite the chicken cheesesteak is for you! The chef is knowledgeable, the service is on point and Ive never left still hungry. Don't sleep on this spot!

My husband and I stumbled upon this incubator type building at 37 Chandler Street having no idea it was even there, and couldn't have been happier that we did! We had the seafood egg rolls, bourbon chicken with sticky white rice and a steak bowl with vegetables and a fried egg and delicious I don't know what kind of yummy rice. The eggroll...omgoodness!!! I have never had anything like it ever and I will be back to get more!!! Heavenly! The steak tasted so fresh, a little smokey maybe.? Bourbon chicken had great flavor, perfectly cooked sticky rice! And the chef was delightful ta boot! The atmosphere in that building is so cool! One of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had in a while!

Heard great things, stopped in with some friends and while it’s a takeout/delivery place, we decided to eat in. Ordered the crab hush puppies blackens shrimp Po boy and bourbon chicken with broccoli and rice. There was an issue with the hush puppies so we were offered a refund and a free order of boudin egg rolls. We accepted the eggrolls but not the refund as we love supporting small businesses. The food was SOOOOO delish. And the owner was so gracious by borrowing a small table with 2 chairs so our friends could sit and eat while we sat on barstools along the wall. While there, people came in for take out and delivery orders were being packed up. The word is out! Highly recommend

Wow wow wow. What a wild combination of flavors. Things you think shouldn’t taste good together so when this chef gets his hands on it. From crazy creations like his Creole Seafood Egg Roll to simpler things like his Blackened Salmon Burger, nothing here is short of amazing!
